I am so excited to be leaving for middle school camp tomorrow (well today). I know I have already blogged about this, however these last days God has been making me even more excited to share about Jesus’ amazing love.

I have bought enough candy to feed a small army, in this case, six, sixth grade boys. My cabin will never stop moving. The band Issakar will be there and they sound sweet. The games that we have lined up should rock. And what would a camp be without a blob. O and we are going to wild waves.

The speaker this year is Dave Tilma the new next gen pastor at Sunset pres. I love Kurt and always enjoy his talks but it is nice to hear a different voice time and time again. You can tell that Dave has a true passion for God and a love for kids. Please pray for me and all the other leaders, staff and kids this next week.

Today during my bible study I came across something interesting. Out of Matthew 7:21-23

“²¹Not all people who sound religious are really godly. They may refer to me as `Lord,’ but they still won’t enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The decisive issue is whether they obey my Father in heaven. <sup>22</sup>On judgment day many will tell me, `Lord, Lord, we prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ ²³But I will reply, `I never knew you. Go away; the things you did were unauthorized.”NLT

This was nothing that I had never heard before but it hit me with new clarity. The amount of deeds we do here on earth does not matter. We can use Jesus name and blast our Air one. But unless we have a relationship with Jesus, on that day, he will tell us “I never knew you. Go away; the things you did were unauthorized” If you would like to know what a relationship with Jesus looks like please send me an email.
