Wacky Zune Ads

November 2nd, 2006 · 2 Comments

Don’t get me wrong despite my consist bashing of the Zune I think the technology itself is cool. And Apple will be in trouble if they do not add some of the features to the iPod. I just do not believe it will succeed in this market. And I think apple will catch up very soon.

Gizmodo linked some leaked YouTube videos of Zune ads. I really do not think they are effective. And part of me really hopes they are not. I really hope we do not become a society where instead of listening to music together and talking and having dance parties we beam each other music while hanging out. That just seams so awkward to me. The worst one is of the couple. I love dates where both people have two different sets ear buds in their ears! Yep that’s going to result in a call back….

Check out the videos to see what I mean. Let me know what you think! Perhaps I am behind on this one and the ads rock…..ya……

(People on a rss feed/email click on the links or open up www.frazierblog.com to view the videos. There worth it!)

PS. Matt I will buy you lunch at McMenamins if the Zune over takes the iPod in the next year.

    Welcome to the social.

I don’t think Zune will overtake iPod…iPod has done some BRILLIANT marketing, and they pretty much own Bono as a mouthpiece. Good videos…you have a scoop! I hadn’t seen these yet. Did you see in the second one from the bottom the dude run forward and do a sick backflip while still going forward? Whoa!

But just in case…I will take a Wilbur burger with the works and a side order of cajun fries.

Zune iPod Zune iPod Zune iPod. Who knows, who cares. My prediction is that Mac through successfully grabbing this new generation will increase their market share from single digits to 15-30% by the end of 07!
