Backlog In My Inbox

May 4th, 2007 · 3 Comments

WOW. I just cleared out over 200 messages in my inbox. I logged into Gmail this morning and realized that I had over 220 messages in my inbox. All of these had already been read and were simply waiting to be archived. So I went through and archived everything I did not need. I narrowed it down to 40. And then did another big push and made it to 9. YAY.

I love Gmail. I love how you can set it to filter email. What I really love is how it creates threads so if people are replying to the same topic it shows up as one email instead of 30. Brilliant. The spam filter also does a great job. My minor complaint is the searching. Sometimes I feel that for the amount of power behind Google their email search is a little weak.

How many messages are in your inbox right now?

What email service do you use and how do you like it?

Happy Weekend to All,

Paul

I’m at 24 right now, but that’s because I’ve taken the day off of work. I should be sub-10 before I go to bed. ;)

Gmail is sweet, my favorite feature is also the way it threads emails. Very cool.
